Coem is member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the American association charged with implementing and regulating the construction of sustainable buildings by way of LEED® certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). As a result of their technical and structural characteristics, many of our products can help buildings improve their LEED® ratings, and have been certified for this purpose by the independent body CERTIQUALITY. Our products comply with the LEED® requirements for high content of recyclable material.
The index of refraction to light intrinsic to the porcelain stoneware support guarantees maximum thermal insulation and an optimum energy performance. Easy to clean as well as hygienic, our products contribute to enhancing the quality and safety of areas within buildings. The requirements of eco-sustainability do not interfere with the aesthetic quality of the porcelain stoneware support, which is consistently at the avant-garde of design and technological innovation.

Our certifications are the outcome of the decision taken at Ceramiche Coem to implement our own environmental management system, resulting in important process- and product certifications since the early 2000s, in line with regulations for environmental sustainability and reduction of impact on the environment.
